Contact form submissions
If you contact us through the contact page, we collect your name, email, and message content. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.
Usage data
We collect aggregate, anonymized data about how visitors use our site — which pages are viewed, general geographic region (country/state level, not precise location), browser type, and interactions with estimate tools. This helps us understand which content is useful and improve our cost intelligence. We do not track individual users across sessions or build behavioral profiles.
Anonymized analytics tools may be used to measure aggregate usage patterns, including estimate completions and financing tool interactions. This data is used internally to improve the platform. We do not engage in cross-site behavioral advertising or sell data to data brokers or advertising networks.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Quote requests: We share your contact information with licensed local contractors in our network who match your project type and location. These contractors may contact you by phone, email, or text message to discuss your project. By submitting a quote request, you consent to being contacted by those contractors regarding your project inquiry. This consent is limited to project-related communication — contractors are not authorized to use your information for unrelated marketing. You are not obligated to work with any contractor we refer.
- Contact inquiries: Used only to respond to your message. Not shared or sold.
- Usage data: Used internally to improve the site and our pricing intelligence. Never shared or sold.
- Financing interactions: If you use our financing calculator or request financing-related services, relevant project information (project type, estimated amount, ZIP code) may be shared with third-party lending partners as described in Section 4 below.
NumeralQ does not send marketing emails or unsolicited communications. Any communication you receive through our platform is project-related and initiated by your own request.

All cost estimates provided on NumeralQ are informational only. They are based on regional market data, historical contractor pricing, and local labor indexes — not on any specific contractor's pricing for your specific home.
Estimates are not contractor bids, not guaranteed pricing, and not contracts of any kind. Actual project costs will vary based on your home's specific condition, materials selected, local labor availability, permitting requirements, site access, and current market demand. Treat our estimates as a planning range, not a firm quote.
Always obtain multiple itemized written quotes from licensed contractors before committing to any project.
3. Information We Do Not Sell or Share
NumeralQ does not sell, rent, or share personal information with third-party marketers, data brokers, or advertising networks. We share quote request data only with licensed contractors you are specifically requesting quotes from. We share financing-related information only when you explicitly request financing services, and only with lending partners as described in Section 4.
4. Financing & Lending Partners
NumeralQ is not a lender and does not issue loans, lines of credit, or any financing products. We are an information and referral platform.
Financing options available through NumeralQ may be provided through third-party lending partners, including home improvement lenders and contractor financing programs. When you request financing-related services or submit information through our financing tools, relevant project information (project type, estimated amount, ZIP code, and contact details you provide) may be shared with those lending partners for the purpose of matching you with financing options.
A few things to know about how financing information works on this platform:
- Informational estimates only: Monthly payment examples and APR ranges shown on this site are illustrative estimates based on typical renovation loan parameters. They are not offers of credit and do not represent actual loan terms you will receive.
- Soft credit inquiry: Checking financing options through third-party lending partners may involve a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your credit score. Any hard credit inquiry would only occur if you formally apply for a loan directly with a lender.
- Actual offers subject to lender approval: Financing availability, rates, and terms are determined entirely by third-party lenders based on your creditworthiness and their eligibility criteria. NumeralQ does not control lending decisions.
- Lender independence: Lending partners operate independently of NumeralQ and have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We recommend reviewing those before providing personal financial information to any lender.
- No obligation: Exploring financing options through NumeralQ creates no obligation to accept any financing offer or engage any contractor.

5. Cookies & Browser Storage
NumeralQ uses minimal cookies and browser storage. We do not use advertising tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
We may use a session cookie to maintain admin functionality (not applicable to regular visitors). Our estimate tools may use browser session storage or local storage to temporarily preserve your project selections and estimate progress during your visit — for example, keeping your calculator inputs intact if you navigate between pages. This data is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. It is cleared when you close your browser session.
6. Analytics & Usage Tracking
We use anonymized analytics tools to understand how homeowners use NumeralQ's estimate tools and research content. These tools may track aggregate events such as estimate completions, financing tool interactions, project categories, and general geographic distribution by ZIP region. This data helps us improve our pricing intelligence and platform usability.
We do not use this data for behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, or sale to third parties. Event data is aggregated and anonymized — it is not linked to individual user identities.
7. Data Retention
Quote request information is retained for up to 90 days to support contractor matching and any follow-up inquiries. After 90 days, personally identifiable information is deleted from our systems. Aggregate usage statistics are retained indefinitely in anonymized form.
8. Your Choices
You may request deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at our contact page. We will confirm deletion within 10 business days.
If you submitted a quote request and do not want to be contacted by contractors, contact us as soon as possible and we will remove your information from our routing queue.
9. Security
NumeralQ uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmission between your browser and our servers. Contact and quote form data is transmitted securely. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect contractor request information from unauthorized access.
NumeralQ does not store full payment information, banking credentials, or credit card numbers. Our core service is free — no payment is ever required to use NumeralQ's cost estimates or contractor referral service.
10. Children's Privacy
NumeralQ is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when it was most recently revised. Material changes will be noted on relevant pages.
