Financing Disclosure

How financing tools and options work on NumeralQ — plainly explained.

NumeralQ is a renovation planning and cost intelligence platform. We are not a lender. This page explains clearly how financing-related tools and content on this site work.

NumeralQ is not a lender and does not issue loans. All financing information on this site is educational. Actual financing options, if available, are provided by independent third-party lending partners.

1. What Our Financing Calculator Does

The financing calculator tool on NumeralQ estimates potential monthly payment ranges based on a project amount you input, a selected loan term, and a credit profile tier. These calculations use illustrative APR ranges drawn from typical home improvement loan products available in the US market.

These calculations are estimates only. They do not represent:

  • An offer of credit from NumeralQ or any lender
  • A guaranteed rate you will receive
  • A pre-approval or pre-qualification from any lender
  • Actual loan terms from any specific lender's products

The calculator is a planning tool — it helps you understand roughly what a renovation project might cost on a monthly basis if financed, so you can budget and plan accordingly before speaking with contractors or lenders.

2. Illustrative APR Ranges Used in Our Calculator

The APR tiers used in our financing calculator reflect typical ranges for unsecured personal renovation loans as of May 2026. These are illustrative and will differ from actual offers you receive:

Credit Profile Approximate FICO Range Illustrative APR Range Illustrative Monthly (10yr, $15k)
Excellent720+7.99%–11.99%~$174–$198/mo
Good680–71911.99%–17.99%~$198–$237/mo
Fair620–67917.99%–23.99%~$237–$283/mo
BuildingBelow 62023.99%+~$283/mo and up

APR ranges are illustrative only. Actual rates depend on your credit history, debt-to-income ratio, the lender's criteria, loan amount, term, and market conditions at time of application. All figures are estimates — not offers. Rates current as of May 2026.

3. Third-Party Lending Partners

NumeralQ may connect homeowners with third-party lending partners — independent lenders who offer home improvement financing products. These may include personal loan providers, home equity products, and contractor financing programs.

If you submit information through NumeralQ's financing matching form, that information (your name, email, phone number, ZIP code, project type, and estimated project amount) may be shared with lending partners for the purpose of matching you with financing options. Before sharing your information, you will be clearly prompted and given the opportunity to consent.

Key facts about third-party lending partners:

  • They operate independently of NumeralQ and make all lending decisions independently
  • NumeralQ does not control interest rates, loan terms, fees, or approval decisions
  • Each lending partner has their own privacy policy and terms of service — review these before providing personal financial information
  • NumeralQ does not receive compensation based on whether you accept a financing offer

4. Credit Inquiries

NumeralQ itself does not perform credit checks of any kind. We do not access, view, or store your credit score or credit report.

If you proceed to request financing options through a third-party lending partner, that lender may perform a soft credit inquiry to provide initial rate estimates. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score and is not visible to other lenders. If you formally apply for a loan, the lender may perform a hard credit inquiry, which may affect your credit score. The lender will inform you before conducting a hard inquiry.

5. No Guarantee of Financing Availability

NumeralQ does not guarantee that financing will be available to any specific homeowner, for any specific project, or in any specific amount. Financing availability, rates, and terms depend entirely on the lending partner's eligibility criteria and your individual financial circumstances.

Homeowners who do not qualify for traditional personal loans may have other options including:

  • Home equity loans or HELOCs — secured by your home's equity, typically lower rates
  • Contractor financing programs — offered directly by some contractors, often with promotional terms
  • FHA Title I improvement loans — government-backed option with flexible qualification
  • State and utility energy efficiency programs — often available for HVAC, insulation, and window projects

6. Monthly Payment Examples Are Not Offers

Any monthly payment examples shown throughout NumeralQ's cost guides, city pages, or financing tools are illustrative only. They are calculated from the APR ranges shown above and are intended to give you a general sense of what a financed project might cost on a monthly basis.

These examples are not offers of credit, not pre-qualifications, and are not binding on any lender. Actual payment amounts will depend on the loan amount, interest rate, term, fees, and other factors specific to the loan you receive.
